NEED HELP!em1 over heating random times!

Default NEED HELP!em1 over heating random times!

i have an em1...only overheats random times..but when it does it mainly does it when i really step on it..not taking it up to red line or anything but around 6rpm....it starts to over heat (not everytime)..i turn off the car let it sit and then later i drive home and its back to normal..i have an aluminum radiator but oem fan...water pump is new.. i dont see any leaks..coolant level is were it suppose to be...

i would say random because it doesnt do it everytime but when it does it usually is when im running...but not everytime im runnin it..yes the fan is working...

Air in the system? Open your cap and rlet the car idle for alil bit and see if any bubbles come out, seen it many times

i tried bleeding it before but it does it again weeks later...
i havent tried openin the cap and check if there is bubbles..
but ill check now...

turn the car on and open the cap...?

my car was in the shop like 6months ago...for another issue..and the mechanic called me saying the thermostat needed to be replaced so i gave him the okay to do it...and he said he replaced it..

might be your water pump. when they go out they dont always leak. but take it a step at a time.

i checked it again today..coolant was a little low...filled it up..and turned on the car...and it was bubbling....i left it on for like 15mins without the cap..then put it on...is there a way to solve the problem?...

Yeah thats how to solve it usually. It should have stopped bubbling after a few minutes. The waterpump will push the water around enough to get most if not all of the air out.

its still happening when i take it to high rpms...fan is cutting on though...if it starts over heating..i pull over..let it sit for about 15mins..then its back to normal..
gona replace the thermostat..?
