My automatic del sol is stuck in Reverse. My mechanic states I need a shift linkage cable part num 54315-SR2-981. However, this part is no longer available.
Any ideas?

 

You'll have to try to find a used one somewhere. You can also go to a Honda Dealership and have them do a dealer search to see if a dealership has one in their stock somewhere.

 

Thks for the info. I"ve checked cross country through dealerships wit no results.
I am currently searching junk yards. My mechanic attempted to use a '93 Civic cable but 3" too short.
He then acquired a prototype and scabbed it to fit so at least it is now driveable but without D3-2-1.
Any other ideas?

 

AT to MT swap time...yeaaa.

 

If my Sol was AT....... I cant even think about it! lol

 

Might have to consider repairing it or fabricating a new cable.
