Default H22 Del Sol Swap: Cable Linkage Question

I am replacing the shift linkage on my H22 Swapped Del Sol. Unfortunately, I purchased the car already swapped, so I have no info on what shift linkage was used. I've done plenty of other swaps, but I have never really messed with cable shift linkage.

I've been searching around HT and google for advice about which linkage I should use for my Del Sol (the shifter is farther back on a Del Sol than other EG/Eks), I have been unable to find much info.

I took a shot in the dark and grabbed linkage off of a 90-93 Accord at the local junkyard. It is about two inches short.

I have two questions:
1. Where is the best place to run the shift linkage in a del sol? The person who did the swap before me ran it under the car up behind the tranny mount. (every write up ive seen just explains that a hole needs to be cut in the floor but never says where to route the cables).

2. What is the ideal cables to use on an H22 Swapped Del Sol?

If anyone has any advice it would be very helpful.

It really doesn't matter what cables you use, everything just has to match, If you're using accord cables you need an accord shifter, prelude cables require a prelude shifter, failure to do so will result in shifting problems. As far as I know they're all about the same length though. Stock Del Sol bar linkage is about 2 inches longer than a civic linkage though.

Del Sols also use bar linkage. And the Accord has cable linkage.

I think you should just move the shifter 2 inches forward or find a different way to run it to allow a little more slack.

Yeah im almost exactly 2 inches short, so that makes sense.... I've tried every possible way to route these cables, but I always end up being short. I have not tried cutting anything yet (like a piece out of the core support or something).

Has anyone swapped an H22 into a Del Sol? What shift cables did you use?
