WHAT MAKES A HONDA TYPE R!?
I'm interested in changing my regular honda logo emblem to a red type r emblem, but I don't want to seem like a poser so I'm asking how I can turn my car type r? thanks.
what makes a honda type R?
Honda makes a honda Type R Ek9 or DC2 integra Type R are the most common nothing you do to your car will ever make it a type R
What you can do is
Buy a hatch paint it champion white get the Type R Stickers wheels, spoiler, lips, exhaust, suspension
Buy the full type R interior
Buy a front clip turn ur hatch into a RHD by drilling hte fire wall
Swap a B16A motor into it form a legit type R
and you'll still wont have a real type R but atleast it will look like one and you can have your Red emblems.. im sorry but when i see accords and civics that are riced with red emblems i laugh

why do you want to make your mdm-mobile a type rawh? why fake jdm??? just go with your own look people will look down upon you if you try to fake a type r look
No matter what you do to your car it will never be a type r.
If it didn't roll off of the factory floor as a type r it will never be a type r.

Civic Type Rs also didn't just come in Championship White. They were also available in yellow, silver and black (same color silver and black we got on hatches here even).
But a car is only a Type R if it rolled off the factory floor as one. You can't change your chassis code. It's part of your VIN.
US '96-'00 Civic hatches are EJ6es. JDM '97'00 Civic Type Rs are EK9s.

If we really want to get **** retentive about it, for at least some years the Type R Race was available as well, which means you could get away without replacing the entire interior if you plan to build a replica.
There are such better things to do with that money and a Civic even though.

Even the usdm type r vehicle (ITR) didn't come with a plastic emblem on the exterior. At this rate, everyone will be having body kits and strobe lights in their Hondas again. Oh brother!!!!
