Bought this car as a project to work on about a month ago, heres a few specs on it (Idea taken from 3rdgenhatchdx :D). I should have took some more pictures but didnt really think about it at the time.

Specs:
1997 Honda Civic Ex Coupe Milano Red M/T

Goods:
Stock Engine

Bads:
Somebody threw on a body kit and did it half assed, it wont sit right on it because they apparently constantly kept scraping which led to cracks, scratches etc., 3rd Gear grinds in higher RPM's, Had John Deere decals on the car, had a trailer hitch, Driver door panel was glued on /fail, Front right tire is bald, crack in header, and speedometer didnt work.

How it sat when I first bought it.







Within the first week I had taken the door panel off and screwed it back it like it should have been, cleaned up the engine bay, cleaned up all the redneck stickers, repaired the header, removed the trailer hitch and had it looking pretty clean.

The next thing I did was replaced the Instrument Cluster, but instead of putting a standard EJ8 one back in I wired up a JDM Integra Cluster :D. I havent bolted it down with the pipe straping yet but it doesnt move too much.





Last week I ordered a OEM Bumper and a Black Grill but when it arrived here I noticed it wouldnt sit right, well thats because the headlights go to a 99-00 and I have a 97 ><. So last night I ordered a set of Type R replica headlights and a set of 15k HID's. I also got a 4 core radiator off of a friend which I plan on changing as soon as my stuff comes in.

UPDATE 12/17/10

So the rest of my stuff came in today and I finally got my front done.
So I took some pictures

After I took the front off, the bumper was being held on by 3 screws.
And I also noticed I dont have a bumper support bar. /facepalm.


Once I got all the new stuff on it.





I think it looks 100 times better now primered or not, Im going to try to get my hood recleared this week and order the back bumper and side skirts as soon as I can if I can find them.
Then I'll worry about getting them painted to match and what not.

It's a little late but better than never :p
Got all my stuff in a few days a go and thew it on before we went to Dropjaw in NC.



Looks alot cleaner IMO, and no more exhaust leak

Turned out only 4 of us actually drove our hondas up there, but only 3 of us entered the show .



Got this trunk from my friend, it was off of a EJ6.
And best of all is theres no holes from a spoiler

Got some stuff in the mail today and UPS says my back bumper will be in tuesday a:

El Cheapo Tow Hook and Stanley EK Smoked Amber Sidemarkers.
Got the Sidemarkers from PWJDM with the gift certificate from Mike (Artik)


So my rear bumper just came in not 20 minutes ago and I was anxious to put it on.
So, I did just that

Looks alot better IMO, I also ordered a dual bend shifter that i'll be putting in this week as well as the other goodies i have.

Ok, so AutoX is here Saturday and sunday and the tires I had were almost completely gone.
And then my friend offered to trade his set of rims with brand new tires on them for mine, I was a little reluctant but hey, like I said AutoX is this weekend So I decided to trade him.

New fenders and sideskirts!





And I took out my cruise control

Just in time too, a day before the winter cruize haha.
One of the fenders was faded red and the other was steel so I primered them to at least match my bumpers.
Hopefully I can get it painted and lowered some more soon.

Little update, I sold the HX's and got some steelies.


They were rusted so I figured lets spray them white, the result.


And I bought some del sol seats earlier to put in, I just have to pick them up sunday


I also forgot, I relocated my radio and made a Crown Royal shift boot.

They are much more comfortable and sit pretty low, best investment ever! haha



So this has been my progress so far, keep checking back im always doing more.

 

huge transformation. I really regret not taking pictures of my car prior to doing the work. Although mine wasn't nearly as riced as yours, it had ghastly 18 inch rims lol.

Another one saved.....i need a set of them del sol seats iv wanted them for sometime now need to get a set and throw them in my hatch.

looking good so far keep it up.

 

Car now has a 00 Front end on it and a set of white GT3's with a polished lip. Car will be getting painted soon and ill update with pictures
