No, I have not tried any of thoose. She has an aem short ram intake, so the stock intake is not even on their. What butterfly thing are you talking about? Thanks for the responses so far.
it's basically carbon buildup on the throttle body.
honda will do that for you if you bitch at them. i got the same problem.
it sticks when the engine is cold, or if left idle too long, and to gas, you have to step on it pretty hard.
i went to the honda dealer for something else, told them about what happened, first they say it's because of carbon buildup, and want to charge 180 dollars. i bitch at them a little, they agree to clean the throttle body, free of charge, good will services....

I noticed the same thing when I drove my friend's 6th gen (98 I believe) back from NYC last weekend. When you go to slowly back out of a space or something you try to push the pedal lightly and then you press harder and the car jumps. I also noticed it more when the car was cold or just started. So this is carbon buildup in the TB ? Is there anyway to clean this yourself?

Just hose it out with some tb-cleaner.
That's what I was thinking but I figure it must come from that valve cover vent that goes into the intake and lets exhaust gases recirculate through the engine.

Good thought. Yet another reason to diable the EGR.
PCV = good
EGR = good
Disableing either = bad
