are 95 odyssey ball joints held in by the wheel bearing?

when to go change my ball joints on my accord. i have 95 odyssey front spindles. then i go to remove the ball joint it is hitting the bottom of the wheel bearing. my accord spindl;e the back of the bearing is more flush.

if i hit the ball joint up any more it hits the back of the wheel bearing. someone mentioned that it might just be an axle dust cover. i tried prying it off but it did not come off. i dont want to damage the bearing yet.
eventually i am going to have to take it all apart to sand blast/powder coat the arm anyways.
according to the service manual for the odyssey, you need to remove the "hub assembly" before pushing the ball joint out.
pull those four bolts in your pic, and the hub/bearing assembly will fall off the knuckle. you won't have to replace the bearing if you don't want to yet.

its rusted on there, lol. i am hoing to try to press it out today after work. i started cleaning whe whole kunckle with a wire bruse and a drill yesterday, got alot of the surface rust off.
