I'm trying to get a wire into the engine bay from the cabin, and I want to do it through the firewall. Where would the best place be to put the wire through? Thanks.
What gauge wire? All of my wiring that I've routed into the cabin has been via the grommet under the fusebox. I have 3 sets of 16 gauge wire plus a 0 gauge wire for my amps.
Yeah, there's a rubber grommet where the engine wiring harness goes through. You can see it if you take out the fuse box on the passenger side of the engine bay. It's a pain to get to on the other side, but there's plenty of room in that rubber boot for incisions & other wires.
I drilled a hole by my clutch pedal, and I had my power wire for my amp run through there. Just be careful not to hit anything if you decide to drill a hole
i ran an 8 gauge power cable from the top passenger side of the hood thru the fender down thru my door into my cabin for my amp.... it sounds ghetto but hey... i didnt have to drill anything...

i recomend getting some solid not stranded wire the stiff stuff maybe 10-12 gauge and using that to push through then tape your wire to it and pull it through.. like a fish tape if anyone knows what that is.. saves alot of time and effort
I just did that, two tips:
- Under the fuse box, there are two grommets. I had luck with the one closer to the driver's side.
- To get to the wire on the other side, I took off the glove box, and then could see the wire through the small opening in the center.
