Is a d16z6 a zero tolorance engine? If the belt jumped 1 tooth is that an automatic bent valve?

 

I don't think so. I've seen many postings where the belt has slipped with no ill effects on the mechanicals.

 

no u should be fine if its just one tooth u got up to 3 or 4 teeth until damage occurs.

I think most hondas are interference design.

Try a compression test?

D series always seem like rattle traps, piston slap or something...

 

Most of them are a interference design, however, sometimes you get lucky!

My Y8 is a loud as hell, valve lash is tight and in OE spec. And I have piston slap when cold.

Don't drive it until your able to get the timing back in spec.
