Default Possible to re-use a 28 pin socket ?

I have a p06 converted to vtec with a chip and socket with my tune saved on it , but this ecu has a bad circut (fuel pump relay) .. so i have another vigan po6 ecu that i can use but i want to know if i could transfer my socket and vtec software on to the virgan ecu ? Like is it possible to de-satuer the socket and etc from the ecu without meesing it up and sauter it into a different ecu ? And what to use for this ? Help on this please ! Save me some money !!!

WTF is sauter? It's solder! What has happened to the education system?

If it can be soldered IN it can be taken out and reused. You should try Google to see how it's done.

if you are good at desoldering and soldering you will be able to do it. it is no easy task for the unexperienced to desolder the chip and socket. the caps, resistor and jumper aren't too hard.

I highly, highly doubt that you'll be able to de-solder that socket. I'm an electrical engineer who designs/builds PCBs all day and it'd be a challenge even for me. The sockets are only $0.50 usually. Try Fry's, or Radio Shack if you have to. And don't try using one of those gimmicky vacuum-pump de-solderers; you'll need some copper braid. But again, the copper braid will cost more than the ECU components... What you're talking about doesn't make much sense.
