what exhausts sound like bumble bees buzzing around??
Don't buy anything cheap/low quality and you should be OK. Stick to something proven (DC, Comptech, Apex, 5Zigen, Mugen etc).
is there any in genral to look out for like tanabe or somthing like that cuz Ive never had performance exhauts before??
usually n1 style exhausts are "buzzy".. the sound has to do with the amount of sound deadening material in the muffler and the shape of the muffler.
team-integra.net has some good tech articles in there bout exhausts ... read up

i got an n1 and it sounds deep and rich to me the buzzing sound is useually if you have no cat or just the mufler. and you have a 1.8 liter engine just get a complete system.likethe evo.
Small straight through mufflers with small resonators like the N1 may sound buzzy. Longer and wider straight through mufflers muffle more sound and give a deeper tone. Chambered mufflers are a different story. Of course this is a generalization, but for straight through mufflers there is not much to deaden sound, so it normally applies.
My magnaflow is not buzzy.

i have used Greddy SP, Apex N1, & Apex WS. With my application, the Greddy sounded nice and deep but dint last long . The N1 was buzzy, hated it. My current WS is nice, like stock but deeper at throttle mashing.

the raspy buzzy noise will come from the type of piping that is used in the cat back. Of course the high performance and expensive cat backs are made from titanium...... but i've had my share of cat back tampering and trying out different mufflers. If you were to remove the resignator from any type of cat back, it causes a tin can raspy noise because of the way the air flows through the piping. I finally stuck w/ the greddy sp cat back untampered cause i got a great deal on it. Dont buy cheap immitations that look and sound like the "BOMB" muffler! LOL, good luck
I've always hated the way GReddy exhausts sound, they're notorious to be buzzy and tin can sounding. The APEXi N1 buzzes too. The HKS Hiper and Kakimoto R sound REALLY nice. Deep and throaty. No buzz at all. Another good one is the Blitz NUR-Spec or Fujisubo. I read that you wanted a Tanabe...they make good exhausts. The G-Power and Racing Medallion are super deep sounding, no buzz, however they are also loud as hell too.
Just throw in a turbo to quiet that thing down.
A'pexi world sport. Good schtuff, and costs less than almost any of the other well respected systems. I have disliked all of the straight through N1 grapefruit launcher style exhausts I've heard.
