Default Please help brake problem!!!

I am hoping some of you guys can help me. I am changing the rear pads on my car. I disconected the caliper, and tried every tool known to man, to push the piston back, to make the new pads fit. Ive been doing this for the past 4 hours, half of the time going to auto zone to buy different c-clamps. Can anyone give me a tip on how to do this. What am doing wrong???? I have changed my front pads before, and it was not this hard. Please Help, thank you in advance
Erik

You mean those grooves on the piston, are meant for a tool. So the piston needs to be turned? Is there any other way to do this?

go to autozone, pepboys, buy a HUGE screw driver and turn those suckers until it's pushed it.... rear pads are a bit more pain in the ***.

Cosworth is right. They are more of a pain in the ***. There is a tool that you can buy (i finally did) at Pep Boys, AutoZone, or Discount Parts that is made for compressing the piston back in to accomodate new brake pads. It was only $10. It is a block shaped tool that fit's a 3/8 ratchet and you just fit the little grooves of the tool into the piston and turn away

be sure to turn the piston to the right to compress and have at it!
