Cleaning engine outside of car(how to)?
Usualy the block is taken apart, and diped into an acid solution. Of you just want to get all the grease off, use some degreaser or simply green. Make sure not to get any water into the engine.
yeah i'm wondering the same too...hey dominican_kid, do you have your motor on an engine stand or anything...my motor is just sitting in my garage on a tire...does anyone know where i can get a engine stand or cherry picker for cheap??
also i drained my motor and it's been sitting for awhile...is it alright for it to be dry or should i keep it lubed somewhat??

In my opinion Im guessing if the engine is on the ground or on a stand you can just put some concentrated degreaser in a spray bottle and try to scrub it off with a brush.(If you have to patient)
If not you can also just get a power washer and was the bastard like that.

http://www.harborfreight.com has cheap stuff. There is one by my house and I get lots of stuff from there. I got a stand from there, I think it was like 35-45$.

my engine is in my garage on top of a cardboard box. I just covered anything electrical and hosed it down. i used simple green and then armor all to make it nice and clean.
