Default Single Vtec Camshaft Identification issue

I bought what looks like a y8 head from a local salvage yard for parts. It has what looks like a new cam inside of it. I need help identifying it because I'd like to use it on my y8 head and it seems totally different than any honda cam I have seen.

It has 2 ring grooves by the dizzy side of it and cw53 on it... I did a search and came up with nothing. I hope it's a crower cam because I got screwed on this pos head..

Stamp on the front of the head should be "P2J" if I'm not mistaken, that will tell you if it's a 96-00 SOHC VTEC head, if it has roller rockers it's a d16y5 head, if it has the standard 1 solenoid it's a y8 head, if it has 2 solenoids it's a jdm d15b head.

i got a z6 cam i have out of a head now and it definitely dont have the 2 rings on the end of the camshaft. it looks to be it is some kind of aftermarket cam. no telling what cam though.

Is there tool I can rent/purchase to measure the lobes, or a place I can take it to get it done? The cam looks new too. Hardly any wear on the lobes.

pic is horrible.... take a pic of the head without valve cover and take a picture of the lobes of the camshaft and on the dizzy side of the cam it should be stamped with some kind of numbers to be a crower.(looks like the stock material of a d16z6) but not sure about the two ring grooves think that is also stock. so based on the pic i think its a stock "jdm" d series cam based on lobe wideness and the C. NOT 100% SURE so dont run up on the dude that sold u that head. and just to let you know crower cams suck on a sohc motor

https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?p=36415691

found this to help anyone else.

The head was stamped p08-2 for the cam I took a picture of. I'll look more into this camshaft later by measuring the lobes with a micrometer and get back to the page and update it...

Well, I think he was just saying there are 2 ring grooves in the ctr cams because I said I have never seen a OEM camshaft like this one I have here in that pic. Which has grooves in it.

BTW I still haven't measured the lobes...I will get to it and update this eventually
