Default Sidemarkers install

I want to install sidemarkers on my ej6 but I dont want to try it out and end up with a f***ed up fender, does anyone have any instructions on how to do it properly. I already have the sidemarkers ($20 eBay very OEM look-a-likes). Thanks in advance guys/gals.

What ptown said. But you can use a dremel with a reinforced cutting disk. The only thing I would add is make sure you come up with a mirrored template for the other side. Would hate to put the one side in and be off a little on the other.

just make sure you measure properly so the other sides looks the same, i put the marker lights where i wanted it then marked around it with a sharpy. i did mine with a dremel, took about 30 mins. i used the cutting drill bit. just go slow and you be fine. i cut a little smaller and used the cutting disk to make bigger for tight fit. wire up to cornerlight and your done. hope that helps.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/lighting-107/%2A%2Aofficial%2A%2A-oem-eg-dc-sidemarker-template-2571230/

there is the link for the template...

i installed my sidemarkers before my car was painted, i took the fenders off and printed out the template... if you want the template for the other fender just flip it on your print menu... pretty basic.

dont worry about wrecking your fender, the template is a tiny bit smaller then what the actual sidemarker is... so youll notice once you cut the holes open and put your sidemarker up to the fender it will be too tight, so youll spend a little bit of time shaving the sides to get the sidemarkers to fit. The plastic border around the lights are decently thick so it will cover your hole completely.

but make sure you wire them and test them before you clip the lights in and put the fenders back on.

Thanks mikie, but those templates you provided are for the EG/DC and I have an EK so I'm not sure if they'll work for me 2, will they?

I dont have pics but for each style u have to tap into the wires like this:
USDM:
Tap into green(turn signal) and black(ground) wire.
JDM:
Tap into red(parking light) and green(turn signal) wire.

Check out this link on the complete DIY: (or the one above)
