Ok so i got a a 91 crx si with a b20v(b20b bottom/pr3-2 head).Ok so wiring is all fine and i manually trip the vtec solenoid and it clicks so i took it out for a spin and manually set vtec but nothing.I have no cels,I have oil,My oil pan has no dents,My solenoid is clean from debri.Cars warms up,speedo and tach works.Im baffle at what it could be??????any help

 

Is it a fresh build or did it stop kickin one day could be oil pressure to the head for the ls/vtec oil line kit and is T off the pressure sensor or do you have a sandwitch plate

 

you said you 'set' vtec... how do you mean, ''set'' it? is it on a vafc or is it running on a vtec ecu?

 

Vtec worked then it stopped.I activated vtec manually to check if it was the solenoid,but normally the p28 does it normally.Ok so have you guys heard anything about the kit failing???The motor isnt fresh its been running for 6 months now.The motor runs great no lost of power except when i go over 5500 when its suppose to activate.The kit is using a T if i remember correctly

 

What can cause loss of oil pressure beside an oil pump???

 

That happened to me once i switched out my oil line,it was clogged it had some how collapsed inside.

I was thinking of disconnecting the line from the head and have someone crank the motor to see if any oil is getting thru.
