1993 Accord EX Sedan 4D Shakes Horribly; Fourth Cylinder Not Firing
All plugs are getting great spark, fourth cylinder doesn't kill engine when removed. What are my next steps in getting this fourth cylinder up and running again?
From what I have gathered by searching, and using the Googles is that its either a clogged fuel injector or bad wiring to the fuel injector.
Any ideas?
Thanks everyone!

Sounds like a bad fuel injector. Check the condition of the connector at the fuel injector. I've seen corroded fuel injector connectors make a miss fire.
I'd take another fuel injector if you have one handy and plug the connector from that fuel injector into it and listen if it clicks consistently or at all.

I got a new injector in, and it didn't fix it. Still as I remove the spark plug wires only the fourth cylinder doesn't kill the engine. I am getting good spark out of it though.
What I'm thinking is something with the pfi electronically... anyone know my next troubleshooting steps?

Which motor is it? If it's an F22B1 it could be EGR related.

Its an F22A4... it has a decent oil leak maybe that cylinder has no compression? The spark plug is black and dry/sooty while the others are a grayish/sooty.
The check engine light is not on even though it doesn't die when I pull the spark plug. Only the abs light is on after 3-4 mph. Does this make sense?

Hi. I know that I am hijacking this thread but I am having the same problems. My car idles low and shakes very horribly and I just found out that 2 of the 4 cylinders are not firing. My brother who found this out thought it was the piston rings but then I looked on some forums and found out it really could be the fuel injectors. My car also stalls out sometimes (I have a 91 Accord with an AT)
What do I do next now that I suspect it to be the fuel injectors to test them or just replace them? Or what about the wiring to the injectors?
I hope its the injectors because this problem has been happening for over half a year now. The car shakes violently when stopped in D4 and in Reverse. I never realized that some of the cylinders were not firing though.
Hope someone with some info could help me out.
Thanks.

first check to make sure you are getting spark at the plug on the two that are not firing. if the plug is not firing check the wire, the cap and then inspect the rotor etc. If you have spark then the next thing is fuel. Make sure you have it at the rail. test for the correct voltage at the injector. if they are getting the correct voltage make sure you have plenty of fuel pressure before replacing them.
