Quick electrical question
I am working on some wiring for my b series swap in my 89 CRX. I did some wire tucking and moved some stuff around etc. I don't have the motor in or anything but figured I would power on the system to make sure I didn't have any shorts or draws. Problem is my basic understanding of electricity doesn't help know if I actually have a draw that's a problem or one that is suppose to be there. With the battery connected my seatbelts click like something is being powered on in them. Is this normal? Also I have concluded using a test light that there is draw from a 10amp fuse labeled "STOPHORN" and a 10amp fuse labeled "HAZARD" in the fuse box under the hood. Long story short, should there be draws here and how much?
You should pull out each fuse and put an ammeter across it to see how much current is being drained. I don't see how you can tell this from a test light.
The HAZARD fuse powers the Hazard lights and the ECU. There should be a small draw if your ECU is connected. But it shouldn't be much draw at all, no more than a few mA of current.
The STOPHORN fuse only powers the brake lights and horns. Unless you are pressing on the horn or brake, there should be no current draw.
