CEL problem with warm up?

CEL problem with warm up?
as the temp gauge rises to almost half way (3/8's of the way) the CEL come's on and idle's rough.. cold start from 1500 rpm and rises to 2000 rpm and stays as the CEL comes on
driving the car while in cold start isn't really a problem, no CEL.. until i let it sit and let it warm up within 10mins then CEL come back on and idling rises to 2000 rpm. my integra has a PMR aluminum radiator which has a tremendous amount of cooling while driving. while driving on the highway the temp gauge will go all the way down to C. can anyone help me out?
