i did this awhile back and it worked, recently changed from y7 to y8 harness, can i just look at old wiring harness and mock what i did on y7 harness or is it different wires on y8???

why would you want to bypass your knock sensor?

 

to make the light go away.... different motor in car and no location for it to plug

 

There's a ghetto hit or miss way using piezo buzzers or something. What is the old motor and new motor/ecu?

The y7 block has a place for the knock sensor, it's essentially the same block as the y8

 

my block is actually a ZC block not sure what year tho, but thats label on front... and i went ahead and followed what i did on old harness and it worked, just 4 wires, hook the sets up and check engine light is gone
