i just bought a 96 integra ls. the last owner blow the stock ls and bought a cheap b18b1. at an idle it either stays high at around 3000rpm or bounces around 2000rpm. im not good with diagnosing engine problems so where should i start?

A quck google search could have got u an answer. Clean the iacv, check the fitv, and look for vaccum leaks.

Also make sure your cooling system is properly bled

 

i cleaned the iacv and fitv and it no longer bounces but the idle a little high. around 1300rpm. what else should i do to bring down the idle.

 

this is the idle screw in is lower and out is higher also make sure the throttle cable is adjusted right
