(please don't move) What strut mounts for kyb agx 99 civic dx
I posted this in the suspension section but no one is answering it. I have eibach pro springs and kyb agx struts but I need new strut mounts. Should they go right onto the stock mounts because my mechanic ordered the stock and they won't fit onto the stock mounts and he said I need the kyb brand. I found the actual kyb ones but I wanted to know if any other brand would fit because there is no store in my area that have kyb mounts and I really don't feel like waiting a week for them to come. Anyone know any brands that I could get at a local store? Also I went to advanced auto parts and they had kyb strut mount bushings. He said these should work and I might not need to get the actual plate. It pretty much is 2 peices of rubber, 2 washers, and a about an inch long cylinder tube.
are you talking about #'s 5, 6, 8, and 14 in this link ? I know the ones for koni yellows are bigger than stock, but you made need the ones specific to the agxs

I don't know how to clarify it any more. Thats exactly what the part is called. If you look it up on any website that sells parts that is what it is listed as. A strut mount. It usually comes with a insulator and a plate to attach the strut to the engine bay or in the trunk.
I have the same exact set up as you do... not sure what "strut mounts" you're talking about, but I took everything off my old struts and slapped onto my agx's. Only thing I did was cut the bushing per the instructions that came w/ the springs.

Easy. You don't need strut mounts because civics haven't had struts for decades.
You ordered the wrong part if the shocks don't plug and play with your existing suspension.
