So heres the lowdown, 1997 Honda Civic DX w/ KYB AGX struts all around mated with H&R Sport springs. I have changed my struts myself the first time around, 6 months later the top mounts in the front blew. Had the mount changed by a mechanic, busted again after 6 months, had the mounts changed by someone who works as a master mechanic for Honda & as you can probably guess they busted again. Now, I cannot figure out why in the world these top strut hats keep busting on me, the H & R struts that I have are the part number 51865-2 for a 2000 Civic SI, however the part number for a NON-SI is 51865 with that in consideration the drop listed for both models is:

Front: 1.75"
Rear: 1.5"

So, as far as I know the specs are right on the money as far as the drop is concerned. This car is a daily beater, it hasn't seen any sort of spirited driving. Can someone please give me some advice here, I'm growing tired of these struts blowing on me, the last time around it ended up wearing out a tire which eventually blew on me going down the freeway Thanks for taking the time to read all of this!
