Default D series Manifolds questions! Help please

I own a 2000 civic hatch and I still have my d16y7(non vtec) in it n my friend is gettin rid of his car and asked if I wanted his intake manifold and exhaust manifold. And his motor is a d16z6(vtec). Question is will the parts fit my car?

Thanks!

both will fit but the IAT sensor is different and u would need to ignore it. his z6 would have a 2 wire IACV and since u have a y7 u have a 3 wire IACV mounted on the TB. sometimes putting z6 manifolds on y7/y8 heads the coolant area tends to leak because the z6 has a big square like hole and the y7/y8 have a small round hole and sometimes it doesn't seal up rite. your best bet would to be to find a automatic y8 manifold if u want to upgrade. as for the exhaust manifold u would need to rework ur exhaust as you would be moving the catalytic converter under the car and not on the header. and u would need to cut ur exhaust and have a flange put on to connect to the cat. this would require a exhaust shot. all in all neither are worth ur troubles. if u want to upgrade these things buy aftermarket. ur not gonna net any gains noticeable from either.

could have specified that in your original post. yes the manifold will fit but as i stated before u have a 3 wire IACV and the z6 had a 2 wire IACV. you would need to make a plate to block that off . a flat 1/8" thick piece of metal with holes drilled in it to mount it and go to a hardware store and get some gasket material. cut a small piece to cover the 2 holes in the back of the manifold and tighten it down that should seal it up good with no leaks. is the exhaust manifold aftermarket too? if so u could install it but u will need the catalytic converter too then u will need to cut ur exhaust and put a flange on to meet the back of the cat. if u do this does he have his old stock parts to replace what ur taking? ur y7 manifold will not work on his car

Sorry about that and thanks! And I'm wondering if a d15 stock intake manifold would work? The d15's that originally fit into the hatch
