Hi, I have a problem my car won't start. And when I try to start it the starter works but the car won't start and in the dash I see the KEY symbol FLASHING. What means that?? Let me know as soon as possible!!

 

The immobilizer is not recognizing the key.

Try another key. If that doesn't work, you might have to reprogram it.

 

Did you try the spare ignition key that came with the car ( assumption being you bought it new)?

 

From 2001 civic(other models earlier), Honda uses immobilizer system for theft.
If you see KEY symbol Flashing, immobilizer did not recognize your key code.
If other key still not work, you need to bring to dealer to replace immobilizer unit
under warranty(3yr 60K in canada).If other key is ok to start, bring vehicle with problem key to dealer (in 3yr 60K). they will reprogram it in 10 minute.
