Ok so I have a cable b16 tranny now and im looking to buy a new shell so what would i need to put my cable tranny into a car with hydro hookups??? very confused please help out h-t

It depends on the year of the transmission. If you have an 88-91 (Gold sticker S1/Y1/J1) early small shaft cable trans, you will need a conversion kit. If you have a 92-93 ("YS1" on the white sticker) you can transfer the internals to a set of hydro cases.

 

i have the older one, where could i find the kit ive looked and cant seem to find one, i dont even know what to look up really

 

You will be much better off just going with a hydro trans rather than using the early cable model. The internal parts are hard to get and it is a weaker trans.
