Hey guys so i read your suppose to torque the pressure plate to 19 FT pounds on a b16 motor and well....i was lazy and just used my impact gun and tightened them down until the gun was struggling but dont worry its not a very powerful impact gun

but after reading the torque spec i used my torque wrenched turned it to 19 FT pounds and all bolts clicked so am i golden?

or am i gonna mess something up if i leave it the way i tightend it down can it mess anything up if its torqued to tight positive feedback please thank you.

 

If the tranny is off, simply loosen the bolts & re-torque them using a torque wrench.
Otherwise, as long as the bolts are tight, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

 

so if its all put back together with the bolts on tight it wont mess it up?

 

Correct, it should be ok as long as the bolts were not stretched which I have never seen a 12 point honda clutch bolt fail.

 

Yup I dont think any of the bolts were scratched case closed here thank you sir

 

i usually just hand tighten them pretty tight or with an air wrench
