I would just go to a bigger cam and be happy with your current engine.

Car's craving for a bigger set of cams. I believe a better set of cams would keep you set on your poorman setup rather then going through such a change.

if he's refering to a poormas type R, wich I think he refered, then he got it wrong...people just say a poorman's type R to a B18C1 shortblock + R pistons + stock b16 head...if that changed...I dunno...

Just get better cams + a better intake manifold...that should do it...
what exhaust are you running ? and Ecu Engine management are you tuned or getting tuned ?

That motor is begging for pro 2's and a performer x manifold.

Because a performerX is a better manifold for 1.8's..

and blox cams, because they are cheaper?? pro2's would surely do fine for this setup.. there's alot of cam options out there.. you need to do alittle reading in the 1.8 liter dyno thread.

Agreed. Better Cams and slightly shorter final drive, and No No on the BLOX. Get some real cams, my friend.

I agree with the Pro 2 cams, and a port-matched/polished professional product intake manifold. I threw one on and it made a world of difference. I just need cams, a valve train, and 3" intake tubing now...

ATS 4.9 final drive :D lol Highway trips get a little annoying though when your turning 4500RPM.
