Broken Camshaft End Cap Fixed !!!!!! Pics inside.
Well after breaking the intake Camshaft end cap on my 94 integra gsr, I was forced to do research and attempt to locate a competent shop that could fix my problem. Hoping that there was a way to fix this problem without having to have the entire head re-machined.
I first went to a local machine shop that told me they couldnt do anything for me and that I should look into JB Weld or a similar epoxy.
I went back and continued to research. I watched numerous videos about brazing aluminum with durafix, alumirod, etc. I also read about tig welding.
I searched and found a semi local metal fabrication shop that listed tig welding and aluminum brazing as their services. I brought the part to them and they assured me they could fix it. They tig welded the crack after beveling it and I'm satisfied with the results. Here are the before and after pictures.

AFTER:

The weld buildup on the side was left for strength.
The shop is located south of Atlanta.

I just wanted to post this since I heard so many people saying that a broken camshaft cap / cam holder could not be fixed. Figured it might be helpful to someone else to see that it can be done.
