Default M&H 24.5x9.5-13

So far Ive only tried the M/T 24.5x9-13s. But theyre prices just seem to keep going up.

Im looking at the 24.5x9.5 M&Hs, as theyll fit within the rules at my local series.

I tried to do a search, and I saw more info on the 25s, and the M/T 24.5x9s.

How do the M&H 9.5s size up? If you had a choice between the 3, which would you choose? And if you were only looking at M&H, which would you go with? 24.5x8.5, 9.5, or the 25x8.7?

These are going on my Bogarts, which Im pretty sure are 13x8.

If you decide to go with the 24.5/8.5 I have a set for sale and they only have about 10 passes on them. I'm looking to get $225

I think Van Natten went 8.8 on the 24.5x9.5 I would give them a try.

I say 24.5x9.5 as well. Plus since your on stock axles I would stay away from the 25's, we immediately started breaking axles when we switched to 25's.

Oh damn Mo, thats what I was wondering. Glad you said that, and glad I went with the 24.5x9.5.

Thanks for the input guys. Keep giving input though, so when someone is searching slick sizes, this is an option, instead of your standard MT 24.5x9 vs M&H 25.

I have the M and H 24.5 by 9.5

My 60's dident change much between the 8.5

making 644whp out the gate no boost controller.

the look cooler and seem to be holding up better. I am at the 20pass mark and im at a lower power level so i cant tell if they are falling off

with only 500 range i think the 24.5 is the size to go with. im planning on running 23in tall ones this year with 450-500whp. i dont think you need to run anything bigger. just getthe suspension more dialed in and that might help a lot. what 60fts were you getting?

Only reason I wanted something bigger, is because at 138mph, Im hitting limiter at 9200 through the traps. Rather than raise the limiter, I was hoping to lengthen the final drive with some bigger tires. But looks like Ill be taking it to 9500 at least.

The slicks are like 4+ years old, I got them second hand with my Bogarts. My best 60' on Sunday was a 1.72.

As far as "with only 500 range", There are people running 8s on 24.5. So...

exactly...
have you thought of doing some tranny changes at all like gearing?
also new slicks may get your 60'lower also your et's lower and also maybe your traps will drop a bit too!

i made many passes on stock axels ranging from 10.0 10.2 on the 25'' tires but either tire is good i think just personal prefferance in my book 25 '' seam to cut 60 down a touch also ran pb them

Just put this tranny together, and I really like the gearing. I may look at a set of GSR gears later on, when I turn the power up. But for now, this set seams to be almost perfect.

Yea, better 60s should lower the ET and MPH, but I also am only running 17psi in 1st/2nd. I plan on turning 2nd up to 30, because its SO long, and 1st well see what I can get away with. So shortening the first half of the track, I dont expect my MPH to drop at all.
