My car idles great. No bogging down nothing. But I can drive it for about 5 minutes and it just shut off. I can hear my fuel pump turn on when I start the car. Fuel pump was just replaced like a couple weeks ago. I was told to check my ignitor, my ignition coil, and my fuel pump. I checked my ignitor and it looks like there is white stuff around it. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be there or if it's corrosion. I know the whole dizzy was replaced back in 03. Any help?

 

Check the fuel lines to rule out clogged fuel lines which could starve fuel pressure, also check voltage at fuel pump to be sure you are getting 12 volts. Suppose it wouldn't hurt to check the filter as well.

 

Fuel pump is good. I'm getting the 12v. I'm thinking it's a battery terminal that I need to replace cause they don't hold on to the battery that well. I'll replace those and see if it fixes it. Cause I've checked almost everything and seems like it's all good

 

sounds like the ignition control module to me. you can take it to a local autozone and get it tested for free
