Trying to figure this one out. I believe it's either the clutch, cables, synchros, slave or master cylinder. I have an h22a non lsd tranny currently have a stage 4 Bully clutch that is has the rating to handle the power. I am making 400whp and 300lbs/tq. Now the problem is at the track I have a really hard time shifting at high rpm's <6500rpm's. At lower rpm's it shifts fine, no grinds or anything, it's just at higher rpms's. I searched around, but haven't found out a for sure solution. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks

trans fluid, cables, clutch adjustment, condition of synchros, sliders, hubs. could be any of them. Try substituting the easiest options first and try to weed it out until you have to tear into the trans.
I say open trans and check synchros and slidders.I had to replace my 1-2 3-4 sliders and synchros after missing gears a few times.

I blew the 1-2 sleeve set because of bad clutch adjustment.
Preludes and Civics do not use the same size master/slave cylinders. You need to pay a little extra attention to clutch actuation.

By clutch actuation do you mean when the clutch is engaging and disengaging? And I will definitely check on the smaller things before anything
I made this exact same post about a year ago and the only real solution is dog box or h2b.. things that I found really help is new cables, zip tie them together about every 3" down, clutch stop, solid metal bushings in the cables, check master and slave cyl, do all that and if it still don't work go into.the trqnny and do sliders and syncros... also mounting the shifted under the car helped so there was no tight bends on the cable
same problem on two cars...one was m2b4 lsd and the other was usdm h22 with quaife... both cars making around 400hp... zip ties on the linkage cables helped a bit. both cars tried different clutches one used act 6puck other used a comp 5. always seemed like the H trannys never liked the higher rpms

Only problem with the h2b is that I drive a 92 Accord and I don't think it mates up without some custom mounts...I could be wrong though
synchros im telling u had the same problem a few weeks back... as soon as i hit the track it would shift above 6500 it jus lock me out up top.synchrotech
They are only one of MANY things that influence shifting.
Ok!!!! I'm jus saying what worked for me...I tired clutch, shift linkage an shifter......he should jus dump the oil out the trans an see the condition of it, an then he will know if u need to open it.
Does it happen in every gear?
If the problem occurs in every gear I would lean away from a synchro/hub/slider issue and lean towards clutch or linkage issue. High RPM lockout is often cured in b series applications with a twin disk but I don't have much experience with non stock h series applications.
If it were the synchro's fault it would make more sense if one gear was worse than the other since wear on each synchro will be different.
