audio noob with noob questions
hello, i have 2 jbl gt4 12inch subs and i used to have a jbl 300 watt mono block amp but i just recently got a powerbass 800 watt amp. the powerbass amp is a 4 channel. i have one positive/neg on one sub hooked up to the other sub then from that sub i have the pos/neg hooked up to the amp using mono on channels 1 and 2. is there a way i can re hook this up to get more power??? i need some help. if i sound like i dont know what im talking about.. its probably because i dont. thanks guys
use the front 1/2 channel to 1 sub and then hook the rear 3/4 to the other sub..
if it has an EQ make sure its on low freq...at least maybe 60-70hz for EQ...
bridge the front and rear channels
im not sure what the ohm load going to be...
depending on the sub and the amp...
if your sub is at least 2 ohms a piece or 4ohms your amp should be able to handle the subs..
im guessing your sub is at least 2 or 4 ohms... if your subs are 4 ohms a piece, you shouldnt have any problems with your amps going into protect mode...just dont blast it for 5-10 mins
