car goes into gear but wont move
i have a frankestein 98 b18b1 ls swap in a 97 hatch and gsr hydro tranny. after the swap i turned the car on and it runs fine and i put it into gear and it goes into gear just fine but when i let off the clutch it wont move.. i press the accelerator and the rpms go up and also the mph goes up but the car still wont budge.. is this the axles lose, throwout bearing or the clutch or is the whole transmission bad?
without a doubt if your clutch, pp, isnt working right or isnt adjusted properly your car will not move. 94egg sounds like he is leading you in the right direction I have personally never done your exact combo, make sure your shifter linkage is working properly and try and watch from underneath if you have a access to a lift. If you are running an OEM Viscous LSD in your Frankenstein trans, a broken gear in the LSD could be the problem. It is common for the Viscous LSD to snap the planetary gear at the splined neck and not transfer power to the wheels. The diff housing will still move showing a MPH speed.
Any other diff will not do this so 94EG8 is right, it would have to be an axle problem with an open diff or helical LSD..

Having the same issues with my car. Just changed passenger side axle and now car wont move. If the axle is good what else could it be? I have removed transmission to check quaife and gears.
