2000 SI hood help
I have a 2000 SI with a seibon carbon fiber hood on it anyways I can't pop my hood the hood release feels like its still connected. I pull on it and there is tension and if I get someone else to pull it and I go listen right at my grill and look it is still moving the release. What the hell do I do to get it to release the hood I even sprayed fluid film on the hood release. Has anyone ever dealt with this or had it happen? any idea's would be a huge help
Have you ever had it open before?
There is a latch you have to push over to unhook it after you popped the hood.
Not trying to sound like a jackass but I don't know what you do and don't know.

Does it have lock latches on top of the hood?
Also might want to unhook the inside plastic handle and pull the cable with pliers to see if maybe your handle isn't pulling the cable far enough to release.
If all that fails I'd try pb blaster on the latch and pushing down and pulling up on the hood where the latch is.

ya Ive had the hood on for a year with no problems. I don't have hoodpins and ya I know the latch ya gotta push to the side to open it haha your not a jackass man. I can't even get it to pop at all whats PB blaster never heard of it?
I had a similar problem when I got my CF hood. You can loosen the hood latch and adjust it, it may be out of alignment. On my car the plastic hood release lever eventually broke on mine, I fabricated a metal one which looks much cooler
