Default In line fuel pump question

I know there was a thread about this but can't find it. I searched.

Can anyone post info on how to wire an in-line fuel pump using a relay or just paste a link to the thread that discussed this?

well i got a msd inline since im spraying now..
anywayz i just got a 1 foot fuel hose and clamped it in between the filter and rail. then i wired it to a switch that i used for my foglights...but those are gone now..so it was already wired up. then i just ran the ground. so far its been working perfectly for 1 week now...

then only thing im worried about is the 18 guage wire im using..it could burn up since fuel pump pull alot of current...if it does ill wire it with 10 guage wire which is thicker..
also my stock pump does have troulbe pushing through the msd pump at all...but i usually have both on when im on the highway or driving aggresively

I first set my MSD in line with a switch. Then I connected the power to an ingnition power so I wouldn't accidentally leave it on. Now, someone was talking to me about using a relay. I remember a thread but could not find it. Thanks for the input zcivic91.

I was wondering more about this relay option. Anyone else have comments on using a relay? Is it supposed to be safer? What would sway me to use a relay from a switch?
