Icon2 Cluster lights don't work 2000 civic

hey I recently bought a 2000 Civic hatch, it has a single vtec swap, non vtec ecu, vtec wired to a switch. Not sure if it's relevant, also the cluster was swapped out with an automatic cluster with a tachometer. Everything works on the cluster except the lights, I've checked and replaced the bulbs and fuses so they're good now but the lights still won't come on. On my wiring harness there's an orange male connector, but there's no where to plug that in. and on the cluster there are 2 green female connectors, with no male connectors available on my wiring harness to plug into. I'm not sure if it is related to the cluster being for an automatic transmission. I bought the car that way, and I've been spending alot of time fixing the wiring for the rest of the car, but can't seem to figure this one out. Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you checked 7.5A dash fuse 30?

Do the lights work if you pry the dimmer switch out of the dash, unplug it, and then jump the red wire to the black wire in the connector?

k, i jumped the wires, still no light, i hooked it up to a volt meter at the same time there's .3-.4mv, but no increase when i turned the switch on. I also checked the voltage with the dimmer switch connected, made sure i turned it to it's brightest setting still no light. at this point I know it's in the wiring, but what im wondering is it's still getting minimal voltage why is there no voltage increase when the switch is turned on. any other tests i should try?

Unplug the dimmer switch. What is voltage to body ground at the red wire terminal with the light switch on?

Does the black wire have continuity to body ground?
