Default HELP!! Brake lights are on...but the car isn't.

I have a 91 CRX with a B16A transplant. Everything worked as it should until yesterday. I parked the car as I normally would when visiting friends for Easter. When I drove the car to the store and parked to go inside the brake lights stayed on!? I checked to be sure I didn't leave my lights on...pedal sticking, fuses blown, and yet they remain on. When you depress the brake pedal the lights remain the same, and no loss in pressure or feel in the brakes. I can pull the main fuse for STOP from the fuse box under the hood and they do go out. I don't know what could cause the lights to remain on. Please, any help or guidance would be appreciated. This is my first build, and it has not been an easy one.

Sounds like a faulty brake switch. I had the same issue with my Jetta GLI, and ended up having to pull the brake light fuse to keep the battery from dying until I could replace the switch. Unfortunately I haven't replaced a switch on a CRX so I can't give you a step-by-step, but it should be a relatively simple process and an inexpensive part.

Thank you guys. I will be looking for that this afternoon. I even printed off the pic so I could see what I am looking for. Thank you. I will keep you posted.
