Default ****B20 WONT GO INTO GEAR****:(

So ive had the car for about 6 months already it has a gsr hydro transmission it with a act stage 1 racing clutch and pressure plate, just recently while at the fred myers parking lot the car didnt want to go into gear anymore reverse would have a nasty grind if i try to force it in.. But when i turn my car off i am able to go through all of the gears like butter, i took off in first gear and shifted all the way home turning my car off at every stop light and taking off again in 1st gear nd so on. when i made it home i kept my car on and tryed all the gears when it was at a stop and still would not go into gear unless the car is off...
taking the tranny off as i write this for inspection of the clutch/pressure plate.
could it be the clutch or PP?
slave cylinder(the boot is off btw and the middle bar comes out is that normal)?
i checked the clutch fluid everything seems to be fine.

thanks for looking..

will be watching this post constantly for help!!
need to make it to hondatech NW meet may 7th!!

Definetely clutch problem. Check your clutch fluid level. Is it low? You may have a leak somewhere. Leaks are usually at the slave cylinder. Also check your transmission fluid level. If it is low, you will not be able to go in gear with the car running. A common cause for low fluid level is bad axle seals. Only other foreseeable idea I can think of is internal wear to the synchros or a malfuntioning clutch disc/pressure plate. When you push the clutch in, how far does the slave cylinder piston move the clutch arm?

i'd say it is something in the bellhousing area. loose bolts/bad pp/etc.

did u bleed tha slave cylinder?? also ive heard of people having to replace it when upgrading the clutch to something slightly stiffer,as the old 1 just wont cut it...i would try that b4 pulling the tranny....but it may be clutch problems also...start simple and work your way up

Ive already checked the fluid levels theyre normal.
As for the slave cylinder when my buddy enganged the clutch it slightly moves (from the top of my head) probally about 2 or 3 inches each time its pressed..
Unfortunetly i do have a pretty bad driverside axle tear how would i check the transmission fluid? might be to late anyways.

I have popped out the tranny clutch looks pretty worn out barley has any teeth but its not completly shot.. nothing is wrong with the pressure plate at all from what ive seen.. although the throwout bearing is pretty rusty and it doesnt have no more lube on the slider.. pics upon request if you need to look at the clutch if anything..
waiting for the new exedy stage 1 clutch to come in soon. any doubts about this?

the car has never leaked of anything at all.. thanks again

Sounds like a mechanical problem with the clutch.

I had the exact same problem and it turned out that a piece of the clutch disc had fragged and was wedged between the disc and pressure plate.

The problem was even with the clutch pedal fully depressed the clutch was still engaged which prevented me from changing gears.

Sounds to me like once you swap in that new clutch you should be ok so long as the trans itself is in good shape.

9/10 its your clutch man.

Were all the springs good on the Disk? Either way, the disk is out and warn. you should replace it.

Alright guys so it was the clutch! sorry for the late update the parts took a lifetime to arrive...

so i swapped everything(clutch, pressure plate) fired it up and the gears are now going into place! but...
took it for a test run, the mph gauges were going haywire after i would step on the gas.
i warmed it up for about 15 min, then as i hit around 35 mph the car bogged alittle bit(similar to running on fumes) but i had a little more than a half tank.
the motor just shut off. the lights instrument panel everything was still on though i tryed cranking the car up but it just didnt want to start, push starting nothing would work.
not sure what the problem is, i got the car home and checked eveythin out, the ECU fuse WAS blown but quickly replaced with same results would it trigger some other things aswell? idk im kinda new to this im tryin my best... thanks

Check to see if your VSS is plugged in tightly and not corroded.
