Default b18b1 timing issue

whats up guys i'm having some trouble with the timing on my engine.
its a b18b1 block with a b18a1 head. i swapped the head because the b18b1 (P75) head had some issues.
well the problem is i can get the timing right.
when i use the little holes on the cams when i put the timing belt on theirs too much slack in between them.
the previous owner of the engine told me that there is a special way to wrap the timing belt.
does anyone know if there is a such thing.
any help would be appreciated.

Theres not really a special way, but if u know what u are doing its easier to know where u can give a little on movement and where you cant. Try installing the long side of the belt first, since that is where most slack is found. From there, wrap it around the cam gears and down to the tensioner, that way the slack is on the tensioner side.

When u tension it all the slack should be gone. When u are wrapping the belt around the cams, the second one can be moved just the slightest, tiniest bit to make up for slack in between the two gears.

This is just my two cents, it works for me. Hopefully its not confusing cuz I dont have a pic.

the second one would be the intake cam. the long side is from the crank to the exhaust cam

well you would use the manual for the (DC) integras.
and the cams have guides right by the cam gear and you stick something inside of them to hold them in place and you start from the crank to tensioner to the water pump then intake cam and exhaust cam. you'll have slack between the cam. i rotated the engine until the slack was on the water pump side then loosened and re tightened the tensioner
