When you guys swap out hubs for your axles do you guys reuse the wheel bearings or get new ones?

 

They usually come apart so you have to get new ones. I would do it anyways if they've never been replaced.

 

The oem bearings have a metal dust shield that usually gets damaged if the inner race gets stuck on the hub. Plan on replacing them and if the hub presses out without the race stuck on it consider yourself lucky.

 

Yes every time I have had to use New.

Ok cool, i thought so. Anyone have any sucess running aftermarket wheel bearings? These bearings are pricey!

 

yes that will do

 

i have re used them but only when i was putting the same hub back in the knuckle as stated above the races come off just about everytime.

 

get new ones an be happy knowing you did the right thing
