Default Stinky exhaust

I get a light smell of EDIT EXHAUST on me after driving...not cool. Gross. Unhealthy.
This isn't normal for what I have right? I mean I figure the exhaust/cat is what could cause it normally but thats dumb.
jdm b18c1, aem cai, msd ingnition & dist, skunk2 intake manifold, random tech high flow cat, 2.5 exhaust, skunk2 n1 muffler. Apexi vafc, dyno tuned. Runs a little rich, snorts out fuel on pedal blips.

Things I know to get checked out; exhaust leaks, pcv valve, header.

Anything else? Do i need a leaner tune?

If you're running a VAFC you don't have a real tune. If you're saying it runs a little rich I don't know how good your "dyno tune" could have been. Do you have a wideband? What it is reading? If you're in the car and come out reeking of fuel then I would say maybe something leaking that you've missed.

It was dyno tuned with the apexi and hand tuned, timing advanced, plugs 1 degree colder. I was under the impression a little rich running is not abnormal.

That's the question isn't it? He said it snorts out fuel on pedal blips.

Is snort a new tech term I don't know about? Snorts it from where?

What is hand tuned? And why would you need to do both a hand tune and a dyno tune? Do yourself a favor and get a chipped ECU with a solid basemap THEN go get it dyno tuned. That VAFC is probably the source of all your problems. It's a dinosaur and considered to be garbage.

I don't know how rich, how can I tell. I mean snort as in thats the noise it will make if I blip the pedal just right to get it to shoot out some unspent fuel.

I asked a bunch of questions about your "tune".
Are you BSing about the tune? How do you let the tuner get away with tuning your car to the point that you're running this rich? Or have you been messing around with the VAFC?
Too rich is not good for your engine either. Rip out that POS VAFC now.

I did not tune it, I bought it that way, and I'm waiting for someone other than you to comment on the matter because it seems like your highly overreacting. You could be right but no one else seems to be freaking out like this. If you bothered to read the text not 100% literally you would see what I meant by hand tuned, the timing was advanced plugs etc and this was part of the dyno tune back in the day. You don't do just one run, you tweak all of that stuff to get the best results and do several runs until you achieve optimal power/tq. Again I didn't own it or do it personally so the specifics are not known to me other than what I told you though I'll contact the previous owner about it. In the meantime I'll get the other stuff checked out. The smell is of exhaust NOT gasoline.

Could I just get by with a chipped ecu for the time being? 300$ more for a dyno tune.

Now the smell is of exhaust. Before you edited your post you said you would get out of the car reeking of gas. That's why one might freak out upon hearing that.

I figured but I still don't want to smell like exhaust either.
