Default cant seem to find any info on...

long stry short... got an ef recently (shell) put her bak to stock and am only getting one cel code 4 ( crank angle sensor).. car runs (idles) fine just wont go above 3k. my questions are first, can you use b series obd0 distributor internals ina single cam?? look exactly the same so..
and also was wondring if anyone knows the particular component that the crank angle sen. is located?? any help very well appreciated. thanx
*or if anyone has an obd0 DIZZY IN SO-CAL let me kno***

I actually might have one, I just bought a new dizzy thinking that was what was wrong with my car, totally ****ing wasn't. I may keep the old one and the new one or I may just sell the old one. I'll have to ask my brother what he thinks though.

It's off a sohc zc.

And ya So-Cal. Where are you?

Should be under the lower timing cover, right next to the crank. I say should 'cause I can't remember, it's been 15 years since I wrenched on an EF.

That is on OBD2 models I believe. For the earlier models it is located in the distributor, nt sure were exactly. I would recommend getting a used sohc instead of butchering a good B-seres one

sounds like u never wrenched an ef hahaha

obd1 and 0 have the sensors in the disty.

change the disty guts. if you wanna be sure the b series guts work, find a pinout and see if the wiring contains the same sensors.

I wouldnt be surprised if the teggy guts fit

WRONG.

OBD0 sohc and dohc internals are interchangeable.

OBD0 and OBD1 are NOT interchangeable. OBD1 and OBD2 are interchangeable.

this guy knows everything about everything electrical in these cars
