This morning I was heading out of town and just as I hit about 70 KPH I noticed a shake. I pulled over thinking asome lug nuts were loose and noticed my front driver side wheel was smoking. I limped home, jacked it up, pulled the wheel and the rotor was HOT! I also noticed the boot was torn in behind there. Anyone know what this could be? Is my caliper seized? Any help offered will be graciously accepted!

 

Where was the smoke coming from? I have never known the brake components NOT to get hot even after driving a short distance.

 

Looked like it was coming from the caliper area.

 

check for low brake fluid, you may have sprung a leak under there
