Wheel seized onto hub
I bought this 95 honda civic EX coupe about a month ago and I'm changing the front brake pads. When I jacked up the car, the front right wheel is seized onto the hub. The lug nuts come off, but the wheel wont budge. I sprayed some penetrating lubricant on it and left it overnight, but it still wouldn't budge. Some guy that works on big rigs said that when that happens to one of his trucks, he kicks it loose, i.e. He kicks the top of the tire, bottom, right, and left as hard as he can to loosen it up. Any thoughts on this or suggestions for alternate courses of action? Thanks, guys.

You can also use a rubber mallet. I typically just use the old "leg" tool, also.

Wait a minuet, you drive your car around without any lug nuts to get the wheel off?

oh come on guys. you just let the car back down and turn the wheel all the way and drive a few inches back and forth and it just pops partially off. the wheel doesnt fall off all the way!! the threads stop it from going all the way... sometimes its the only alternative you have!

but doing that with the wheel "loose" just destroyed 4 wheel studs,
jack up car, loosen the lug nuts, kick the tire.
