Hey I'm new on here and I have a few questions for you. I deployed my dirver side airbag a while ago in a small mishap with a mailbox and i have a replacement airbag ready to put it but what do i have to do as far as the sensors and stuff? I think i have access to all the stuff i need because a friend of mine is parting out a 95 ex coupe.. that's where my airbag is from. Any info you can give me would be much appreciated. Thanks!

all of the srs system wiring is yellow. Pull the fuse, unplug under the steering column, and go from there. I believe it's all in the service manual. BE SURE TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE DOING ANYTHING! Let the car sit for 10mins. This lets any residual electrical current that may be in the wiring dissipate.

 

if you have the access to a full srs system i would sugest swaping the whole thing in, there is a main computer right over the exaust hump against the fire wall, i have heard that they need to be replaced after an accident, and from there are two sensors in the driver an pasenger floorboards

 

Okay, do i need all of the yellow (airbag) wiring? I already pulled the airbag oug i followed the manual and got it out with no problem. The two sensors, I believe, are under the dash on the firewall somewhere... do you know what tey look like? There is no wiring at all left in the car and I think the sensors are still in the wire but it would be helpful if i knew what they looked like. Thanks a lot.

Yeah, a friend of mine is parting out a 95 ex... lucky for me and both airbags were undeployed and everything is there. I'm looking at about $300 for it. I know where the srs comp thing is, we pulled it the other day and like i said the wiring is all out so i just have to find it.

there are two metal covers that are over ends of the yellow wires in the floorboard (right where you put your feet, i dont remember what they look like exactly but when i go home tonight i'll take a look at them for you

 

are they easy to see? the car is prett7y gutted so i dont know if they are still there or if theyre with the wiring. are they behind that sound damping **** or the firewall stuff?

 

they might be behind the firewall padding, its been awhile since i had mine apart
