Default Retaining horn function with SRS delete?

Hey guys. My EH9 is coming back together very quickly and I want to get some quick answers for my build. I have several small things done since I don't have the time or resources to do everything I'd like. One of those includes an SRS delete. I don't deem it a necessary function for my needs, myself and all my passengers where seatbelts, and I don't want to have to invest the money to maintain the system and replace things that may need replacing in the future. I also don't want to trust the safety of myself and my passengers to an almost 20 year old system that was relatively new technology at the time. Car is a 95 civic EX sedan.

I have removed the SRS computer completely and all associated wiring. My only concern is making the horn work. I am just not sure how to bypass all of that to work correctly with the horn relay, etc. etc.

Do I need the clock spring still?
Do I need to run any wiring myself?

I have seen plenty of write-ups on keeping the horn and making an aftermarket steering wheel (non-SRS equipped) work with that. But none to my knowledge that entail deleting the SRS system completely.

Are you keeping the stock steering wheel?

Ah, should have mentioned that. Yes, I am. The idea is to prepare the car for future upgrades. Going to an aftermarket wheel on down the road is in the plan.

I think you can get rid of the clock spring,if the stock wheel will turn off the blinkers.

Now for how to hook the horn up. What you want to do is get a piece like the pic below and hook it up like the pic and run a wire from it to the blue/green wire at the horn relay. Then hook up the horn buttons.

Honda makes this,it's from a 89-91 civic/crx.

Is that a hand made piece? Also, can someone specify a location/description of the horn relay? I'm in the process of reassembling an interior and I'm trying to sort out the wiring.

*edit* Ah, you sneaky devil you snuck that second picture in after I saw your post lol...

The first pic is a home made piece, but the 2nd pic is honda made.

The horn relay is on the side or top of the under dash fuse box. Wire colors are

White/green

Black

Blue/red

Blue/green.

So is this essentially bypassing the relay?

Am I reading you correctly in stating that I should cut the blu/grn wire at the relay and connect it with a butt connector to the wire that I run from the copper shoehorn?

It's not bypassing the relay, your still using it.

You don't need to cut te blue/green wire, just tap into it with the wire comming from the copper shoehorn.

I purchased that factory part from my honda dealership and there is a male spade connector on the inside of the blinker/headlight combo switch that it hooked directly up to. My question is, what does this piece make contact with? The clockspring gets in the way of this piece and won't mount, and the steering wheel sits too far forward to touch the copper contact.
