i swapped the intake manifold from a d16y8 obd2 to a d16z6 obd1. I kept the obd1 injectors on the y8 fuel rail. Now it still throughs check engine and the idle is to high. I think it might be an issue with the sensors?????? any body got advice?????

 

You're going to have to pull the codes to know what the problem is.

 

why the hell did you do that? the y8 mani is just as good if not a little bit better than the z6 mani, it's been proven! caused yourself a headache for no extra power

 

the code it's throwing is 14 the idl control valve i guess . so there is really no bemifit by putting the y8 intake i thought it was bigger??

 

Did your Y8 manifold come from an automatic transmission civic?

I think he's saying he swapped to a Y8 from a Z6. But yes you probably bought an auto manifold which doesn't have the IACV, you can check this pic to make sure:


so you'll have to work it out by what this guy did in this thread or get a 5 speed manifold if that is the case:
