Default STROKER NODUALR CAST IRON CRANKS (B SERIES)

hi i might have some stroker b series cranks made up for the b series motors and would like to know who of you guys would be interested and what do you guys think about a crank in NODULAR CAST IRON. also known as Ductile Iron(dartons)?

thinking of going either with a 93/93.5mm stroke.

any1 with metallurgy knowledge about the above material please chime in...

hey shake. thanks for the reply. have u had a bad experience with cast cranks or could you tell me why it isnt a good idea?

i need to soak up as much info as possible

just letting you know that these are going to be stricktly for NA builds.
350hp Max, high revving cars.

No 3bar boost cars

Im waiting on a reply from the supplier as to what hardening options are available also like tuftriding, nitriding, shot-peening etc...will post up ASAP

That 350whp goal is going to be very tough and $ consuming build i dont think ive seen a b-series in the mid 300s or even close.

I think the problem is that there are already a couple companies making forged B series cranks in 87, 89, 92, 95, 97 and 98mm...and some larger. I keep some here on the shelf and the pricing is a lot better than the K series "billet" forged cranks. There is no shortage of supply...if anything the shortage on those is a shortage of demand.

I agree with 4 piston there isn't a huge demand for stroker cranks, but if that's what you want to do go for it.

Well, forged is stronger then cast and oem is forged, so this would be a downgrade from a strenght standpoint
