Default king of the strip

so with Miller and T1 laying it down for the honda's in the import scene lets talk motors

the "B" series is the badest of the engines more specific the B18C1 it appears.

"K" series is on the come up, but not quite there just yet, and displacement doesnt mean everything obviousely lol.

I would like to congradulate both guy's for what they have done to enlighten the rest of the world that we wont be over looked

ill let them both chime in but i dont think either one is running stock bore or stroke on those motors prolly closer to 84 or 85mm bores and 90mm or larger strokes

yes but even then you can only go so big. the K is capable of what 2.7l stroked? I dont know of a B series close to that.

oh I knew they were not stock bores lol, but it seems to be the choice for the baddest setups on the strip so far.

the "K" has great potential, and is making strides and I think it will be the future once its worked to the end like the "B" has been

maybe in all motor but i doubt you gonna run a motor that big with boost.90mm is a no no for positive pressure from what we have seen

In miller's FS post last month he was running a 90mm stroke crank.... Just a little heads up....

Maybe it ok because they cost $5k a whack. lol

Lmao, yeah yeah yeah.

The engine size isnt as important as most would think rather then making everything else work right around it. I don't personally think going bigger in a b is going to help all that much.

All the r&d we have been doing has been in the turbo technology. I have been testing countelss combos the last year. Tony found that out this past weekend. I have spent alot of time with precision to get the numbers where we want them and it is showing in the numbers Tony layed down this weekend why precision is the baddest turbo manufacturer out right now.

It's all evolution and when people say that nothing innovative is happening within these cars it's just cause they have their heads up their ***'. There is alot of innovation taking place but it's just not shared with the masses until it is 110 percent figured out and then it trickles down to the end consumer/shop/ racer.

Chris and Tony, keep doing what you are doing and we will all benefit from the results.

It doesnt even have to be with your own cars, but all the other more "reasonable" setups that more people can relate to.

this engines are making their power from 7k to 11k rpms....big strokes help more in the lower rpms so stroked k series really dont have any advantage.... hp= torque X rpm...so the more rpms the engine can spin will make up for not having the bigger stroke..

B series platforms have been around for a very longtime so there has been a lot R&d involved in to those engines and it has paid off. I can think back as far as chris rado's world racing integra which was way ahead of it's time and Gary gardella's red hatchback, stephanie eggums hot rod coupe, and tony1, chris miller, and others in outlaw are now also pushing the envelope with no willie bars. There's no Doubt that the k series platforms make big power, but the transmission design might not be up to the task and remains to be seen. I believe we will see some big numbers from H series platforms in the near future with more R&D now that people have figured out how to get the head to flow better numbers possibly by re-shaping the chambers and manipulation of valve angles.
